Maris Nostri Mercatores: a Python Strategy Game
Done in the context of the "Software Development" Course, with Sara Chaourar
Maris Nostri Mercatores (MNM) is a Python-based turn-based strategy game where players manage ports in the Mediterranean. Each player controls a port city, trading goods with other ports to keep the population happy, expanding hinterland to increase productivity and population, managing gold reserves and port fees, and avoiding being deposed by an unhappy population.
The game combines economic strategy with spatial calculations using real geographic data from the Mediterranean region.
